The risk of strange people coming to your house or business. Exposing your family or staff. Test drives in particular are a risk i.e. Hi-jacking, accident damage, personal injuries, etc.

Roadworthy certificates and change of ownership forms are a requirement to change ownership from seller to buyer. This is an important procedure otherwise you will be responsible for any traffic fines or illegal activities whilst the buyer is in possession of the vehicle which could still be in your name (Seller).

REPAIRS & RWC
Repairs necessary for a Roadworthy Certificate, should the vehicle you wish to sell need mechanical repairs, brakes, tyres, battery, etc. In order to obtain a Roadworthy Certificate, these repairs will have to be carried out before the vehicle will pass. This is extremely time consuming.

FULLY PAID VEHICLE
If your vehicle is fully paid for and you have the registration document, you are entitled to sell your vehicle, provided you follow certain procedures (as previously mentioned)

PAYMENT FOR VEHICLE
Payment should be made via bank transfer, once this has been done and the funds reflect in your account, confirmation must be obtained from the transferring bank that the funds are cleared. Under no circumstances must delivery take place until you are satisfied.

BANK FINANCE
Should the buyer require finance for the vehicle he wishes to purchase, the seller should be aware that financial institutions are reluctant to finance private transactions.

TRADE-Ins
At least 65% of vehicle buyers have a trade-in of another vehicle or alternatively have to sell their present vehicle before they can buy a replacement. Most private sellers are not equipped with the knowledge to deal with trade-ins.

EXPOSURE
Planet Wheels is situated at a successful Pick n Pay shopping centre. The premises & showroom facilitate a fluctuating stock of between 180 & 210 motor vehicles, which in itself attracts a high volume of passing, and walk- in traffic.

RESERVE PRICE
This is the amount set by the seller, in conjunction with Planet Wheels, which may change from time to time.

RISK FACTOR
All interested parties will only transact with Planet wheels, thus taking the risk factor away from the seller i.e. Test Drives, Hi-jacking, RWC, Change of Ownership, Registration, etc, etc …

INSURANCE
Planet Wheels will insure the vehicle under its comprehensive policy from time of taking possession till time of delivery.

NO COST TO THE SELLER

PRESENTATION
Presentation is important in order to achieve a fair market value and if the seller so wishes a complete valet service is available at a nominal charge.

FULLY PAID VEHICLE
Payment for the seller’s vehicle will be the sole responsibility of Planet Wheels, who will take all the necessary steps to ensure that payment is made, once the vehicle has been sold.

AMOUNTS OWING TO FINANCIAL INSTITUTION
Should the seller have an outstanding amount with a financial institution for a vehicle, Planet Wheels can assist the seller in obtaining the registration document (NATIS) in order that the vehicle may be sold.

BANK FINANCE
Planet wheels is approved with the financial institutions and therefore in a position, if the purchaser is credit worthy to obtain finance for the purchase of your vehicle.

TRADE Ins
Because we buy and sell vehicles on a daily basis trade-ins are an integral part of our business, which means selling your vehicle becomes so much easier. When the purchaser has a vehicle to sell, sale becomes conditional on the purchaser selling his vehicle.

DELIVERY
When the vehicle is sold all procedures including documentation will be completed in order to effect delivery by Planet Wheels.

TIME SAVER
You can now carry on with your daily life. Planet Wheels will do everything possible to sell your vehicle, in the shortest possible time.

COMMISSION
Is the difference between the nett reserve and the selling price.
